DESCRIPTION
This special bottling of Zinfandel is a project many years in the making. Zinfandel has long been a part of Boeger winemaking tradition, with turn of the century plantings existing on the property when it was originally purchased by the Boeger family. This blend brings together multiple elements of that long history in a single-bottling: clones made from those original, older plants, newer selections in our estate vineyards, and grapes from our longest grower partnership, the Walker Vineyard. Wines made from each possess distinctive qualities, and this blend was made to marry the best attributes of each. Typical of our traditional approach to Zinfandel, some amount of Petite Sirah from each vineyard was blended in to add depth and structure to the softness of the Zinfandel.
